An all-inclusive resort is a holiday resort that includes at a minimum lodging, three meals daily, soft drinks, most alcoholic drinks, gratuities, and possibly other services in the price. 

Many also offer sports and non-motorized watersports and other activities that are included in the price as well.

All-inclusive resorts are typically split between adults-only and family-friendly options. Many kid-friendly resorts are sophisticated and cater to mostly adults, while others are geared more toward young families. For the resorts designed for families, there may be kids clubs programs, craft centers, game rooms, as well as water parks to keep children of all ages entertained. 

Some family-friendly resorts offer an adults-only section of the property with amenities that may include a private beach area, bar, and a private pool. 

But if you’re looking for romance or peace and quiet, consider booking an adults-only property.
